Introducing the Brisbane Kermesse powered by Tineli. A little piece of Belgium, down under.

Kangaroo Point Cycling Club is pleased to officially launch the Brisbane Kermesse powered by Tineli.

Longer than a criterium and shorter than a road race; this brand new event will bring the thrill of Kermesse racing all the way from Belgium on Sunday the 9th of November.

The event will run on a never before raced spectator friendly 3.5km circuit just minutes from the city at TradeCoast Central Eagle Farm with long straights, wide roads and perfect hot mix bitumen.

There are three 180 degree hairpins, two 6% power climbs, two roundabouts and a number of technical elements leading to a finish straight that will favour the brave and guarantee fast, exciting and rewarding racing!

In launching the 2014 race, Club President Cameron Hemming acknowledged the strong interest in spectator friendly long format racing close to the City and extended his thanks to TradeCoast Central for allowing access to their estate for this new event.

"As Queensland's oldest Cycling Club, the Kangaroo Point Cycling Club has a proud tradition of delivering inner city racing events and we're pleased to be bringing this feature race to the streets of Brisbane in 2014. We look forward to delivering a tough and rewarding race that will book-end the road season on November 9" he said.

With the support of Principal Presenting Partner Tineli; the Kangaroo Point Cycling Club looks forward to introducing a range of high-profile ambassadors, exciting competitions, training programs for novice riders, women's only initiatives and more as we count down the weeks until race day!
